Our History
Founded by a father and son partnership originally based in Mapplewell, South Wakefield. With a combination of 30 years of experience in the industry before setting up. Starting with just solid oak surrounds after identifying a gap in the market.
1999
Expanded into the premises next door as the company grew. Introduced the first brochure and our first fireplace exhibition. Started doing mirrors and new range of oak veneer surrounds. Purchased state of the art edge banding to press the veneer.
2001
Expanded again to the next building along and invested in new machinery, cnc, beam saws and new spray room.
Increased productivity by 40% and hired 4 new members of staff. Introduced first painting surrounds using Kronospan and medite premier boards, this was achieved in the new spray room where we could use acrylic and acid catalyst spray finishes to achieve a smooth flat high quality finish.
2009
2012 introduced new range of electric suites, and marble interiors.
Moved to 12000 square foot factory in the north of Wakefield. We expanded our building capacity by over 100% with a target of increasing productivity by over 50%. The move took 6 months. Invested over a quarter of a million pounds in the latest machinery and tooling.
2015
Throughout covid, we remained open supplying fireplaces all over the united kingdom. During this period we had our record year manufacturing over 1000 fireplaces a month while social distancing.
Launched our brand new website to move our business forward with having the environment in mind to go paperless and reduce our carbon footprint.
